Another great weekend to celebrate life ! great company with my wife, kids, my mother in law and many riding friends to hang out with !! At only 3 weeks after my last 24 hours race in Spokane, I was still tire but ready for another one. I was signed up for Golden 24hours since last year, so I didn't have a way out ::---)) the forecast wasn't promising and with plenty of rain in the radar I considered several times just NOT to go.... but, there is something about commitment, and once you cross the line back, it will be easy to back out again and again... so, always move forward ! even if it is at slower pace (that is my mojo !). Took a vacation day from a busy office and headed to Golden early morning on Friday. Got there and set up the camp for the weekend thanks to my buddy Steve S and family that kindly picked up a site for me right beside them. Well, it is always a challenge to pick a starting point to write this, so many memories, so many wonderful times... I guess I will start by saying that this year was one of the best road trips with the family to Spokane, the camping was great, the company, the places we visited, the few hotels we stayed in, and the joy of the kids running through the hallways of a fancy hotel. This time we visited the Spokane Water Falls that have been on our list for a few years already, as well as the carrousel and few other attractions around the area. On Friday we set up the pits and left everything ready for race day, the camping area was less busy than previous years, but I guess it is due to the fact that there were at least 300 people less registered for the race. I had pretty much the same set up than in previous races, however I did had less planning food wise..
