Calgary 50K Ultra Marathon 2017

It was a set plan, run a sub 3hours marathon and then survive for an extra 7.8kms... at the time of registration it sounds like a good idea, but certainly wasn't... I thought that it would be fun to hammer a sub 3 marathon pace and then take it easy in the last bit. I was planning on riding my Bemmer Saturday morning and come back after the race on Sunday, however my good friend Amit talked me out of it and convinced me to car pool early saturday. Andy ended up going with us as well so it was even better, we talked along the way, had breakfast, coffee, all good. We arrived to Salmon Arm at around noon and right after picking up the race package and settle in the bed and breakfast we pre-rode the course...
