Winter rides coming to an end...

Well, it all seems that happened so fast when we come to an end of winter and I find myself usually overdressed when riding outside. I couldn't have done all these long rides without the support of my lovely wife who didn't mind at all waking up early on the cold winter weekends to have breakfast with me before I headed out for a long ride..
Thanks to Craig and the gang for letting me tag along on these long and cold rides. The last winter ride was yesterday, an over casted Sunday with a high of 5c. Met at Cadence for coffee with Craig, Kate and Devin and decided to head down south and stay on pathways for the entire ride.. Amazing pathways we have in this beautiful city, I am amazed how far you can get on these paths with little road riding. After about 3 hours we stopped at Cafe Rosso (awesome place in the SE that I had never been in before) ordered a panini that was BTW awesomely tasty and chilled out with the guys talking about races, coffee and a Batista's book that Kate wanted to buy.. Took off to ride the last 50 minutes to get home and as soon as we left Bowness to climb up to Crowfoot area Craig picked up the pace and attacked the hill by Bowmont park pretty hard. As I was watching the watts in my computer I was afraid that I was in the red line for way to long.. but didn't want to let Craig go and kept a 300watts pace for the entire climb!! holy crap what a way to end up a 100kms ride. It is something about the hill climbs that makes my heart jump and always try to go as hard as I can, don't know what it is, but I definately love climbing. Now to find a way to convince Maria to let me go next Saturday for an epic grand finale of the winter rides to Wildcat.
