I love been the chaser, specially when Kate and Ryan are the ones I am chasing :-)

This Sunday was my 3rd winter ride with the Cadence group (well at -13 was only Kate and Ryan). After waiting for Ryan to have breakfast, fix a flat tire, dress up, say hi to a few friends, stop by bow cycle, etc etc we managed to go out for a ride. Decided to go south this time into some awesome single tracks I didn't know. Amazing single tracks, with plenty of fresh snow and even some icy stairs, where surprisingly I managed to stay on the bike with the rubber down :-)))))) yeepiiii this has to the the best training to improve my handling skills, that is for sure. After about 45min of single track we hit downtown for some pathway.
After that, we made it to Glenmore res where we stopped to warm up with some coffee; the coffee shop was full of runners in a pretty happy mud (might have been all the endorphins from exercising, because it was snowing and -13!).

We took of to hit more single tracks going south and had to stopped a few times to warm up our hands to be able to break, nice single tracks on a ravine by I don't know where because all I was doing was following Kate, so no time to pay attention to directions for me this time @###%%% I wiped out more than once on these trails, but was up on my feet in no time !! The remount from cx season is paying off !!
I don't know what they feed Kate with up in camp or what Ryan has been secretly eating for breakfast, but after 60k for me on Sunday I felt that I could almost eat a horse!

Oh I almost forgot, yes I was carrying 2 water bottles on this ride, but with the -13 temperature couldn't drink any of them for the entire ride.. (I think they are still frozen in my house today @#%).
Ryan was able to keep his in the back pocket to keep it out from freezing, but I skipped that step at the beginning of the ride and of course it was to late by the time I could do something about it..
More single tracks (yeah I know I am repeating single tracks again and again, but that was all we did, seriously I haven't done that much single tracks within the city limits and in the winter ever!!), anyway after some more of this fun stuff we were in Fish Creek when clock was ticking for me and I was running out of time to keep my marriage safe when I decided to call it off and meet with Maria and Nick ! (best wife ever, best mom ever too) (well, she probably knows my days of biking will be over soon with a growing family !!).
