From a family of two, to a family of five in 2 years...

Wow I never thought you could turn a family of two (Maria and I) to a family of 5 in only a couple of years.. Yeap, how to do that? well, have a baby and two years later have twins ! that will do it. We are so happy with the new additions that can barely wait to meet them !! Now, with all these changes of course everything else will change too... Training will be limited for sure to my commute to and from work %% and races probably some local ones until the babies are ready to go camping ! (Maria has promised that we will go to Kaslo to race again late September :-)))
I don't think we will need to get a bigger trailer since we all are pretty small lol// However, I can not say the same with the car we used to drive as Maria's biggest fear just came through ! Yeah, owning a minivan !. At first she thought "no way I will be driving a minivan, I 'd rather use the utility trailer to carry the extra car seats ha-ha.. but, soon enough she realized that it was too difficult to get in and out of the land cruiser already with a gigantic belly, let alone with 3 babies at one time !... So, I ended up buying a Honda Odyssey (and I have to admit, it drives pretty cool).
About the Maria's pregnancy the growth has been quite amazing.. last picture here shows her at 17 weeks, but it actually looks like 7 months when she was expecting Nick!, she is a bit more tired than normal (specially because she is not only pregnant, but also looking after Nick all day long, wow she is a pro). Babies are now starting to move and in the last ultrasound we could see everything already (we agreed not to find out the sex this time, so it will be quite a surprise, double the surprise as a matter of fact).

  Columbia River (Kinbasket Lake), 63km drive on logging road besides this river The approach wasn't easy or short, we drove 30min west from Golden, then up north on a logging road with the Columbia River right beside us for 63km exact, at that point we were suppose to see a trail heat sign (which in the first pass me missed it) and after 30 minutes of back and forth we found it. A week in Paris with the kids !!

2025 our plan was to travel to another continent and what a better place to visit than Paris, France !! A week before spring break we booked a week in Paris, found an AIRBNB right in town and went light with backpacks to walk as much as we could. The highlights places that we visited in not particular order were: Eiffel Tower, Sacre Coeur, Montmartre, Notre Dame, The President's House, The Assamble National, Canadian Embassy,  Arc de Triomphe, De Louvre, Hotel des Invalides, Grand Palais, Petit Palais, Chateau de Versailles, and many other places, corners, coffee shops. There was a direct flight from Calgary which made things more simpler, leaving Calgary at 2pm and arriving in Paris at 11:00am. After a 45 min train to Les Maries we got to the apartment and drop the backpacks to begin our tour !! Bluerock Trail, Gorge Creek, India's Oil Trail and Bluerock's Knob

  Great adventure before the road is closed for the season.. This is the third Sunday we are in the Sheep River Provincial Park running trails and bushwacking. Pete, Ken and I started a bit later this time.. around 9:00 we were running and done by 3:00 (28 kms with 1,500mts of elevation gain). The first 11 kms were fine, up but with a good pace. After that and after enjoin a nice view of Bluerock we had to do a bit of a traverse and bushwack for the next 10k or so..
