Covid-19 Quarantine March 2020 and counting....

Dress code working from home
With the arrival of Corona Virus to Alberta all companies ordered a work from home policy to support the province with the lock-down... Same with kids (schools shutdown across Canada).

Times are very different these days, super weird feeling in isolation, streets are empty, shops are closed, people are wearing respiratory mask, gloves, and avoiding getting to close to others (2mts distance).

Working from home has proven to be very efficient, despite the social interaction with colleagues work is getting done quicker, not many distractions and plenty of time to be use towards your projects as opposed to dealing with the normal interruptions in the office...

The dress code has changed, nice and presentable up top in case you have to attend a video conference, and lose and comfy bottom..

Office space has changed a bit to, with day 1 using an ironing table to work to a more appropriate standing desk with dual monitors for the remaining of the house arrest time.

Nick attending 4th grade classes using Zoom
With schools closed, the kids have no option but having mom as a home school teacher for the remaining of the school year. What a change ! Nick is in grade 4th, the twins in grade 1. While Nick is very capable of using computers to log in to classes and interactive activities through Zoom, the twins are focusing on more hands on type of work, crafts, math, reading..

It has been a challenge for everyone, the isolation part of this has affected of all in a different way. Luckily I have a few running buddies that live in my neighborhood and we have been able to keep our lunch run routine, oh boy if it wasn't for the lunch run I would be going crazy been stuck at home all day !!.

I miss the riding to and from work. It has been my routine for the last 14 years, and breaking that habit has been tough.

The news are kind of the same everyday. No one really knows what is going on and when this house arrest will end. This Virus will definitely change the way we live (just as 9/11 changed the way we fly), but nonetheless we are humans and we adapt well to anything.
