A hike every weekend with the kids !! That is the plan for the 2020 Summer

With a summer of Covid-19 and the border closed until further notice we decided to plan a hike every weekend with the kids to keep them entertained !! and boy we hike... lots of hikes, road trips, camping and tons of memories.

5. Ice Caves (Bragg Creek)

6. Lake Agnes and Mirror Lake (Lake Louise)

7. Goat Creek MTB ride (Canmore)

8. Grassi Lake (Canmore)

9. Suspension Bridge (Canmore)

10. Rock Pile (Moraine Lake)

11. Takakkaw Falls (Yoho)

12. Consolation Lakes (Moraine Lake)

13. Troll Falls (Kananaskis)

14. Forks Backcountry Campground with Nick (one overnight)

15. Ribbon Falls and Ribbon Lake Backcountry Campground with Nick (one overnight)

16. Red Rock Canyon and Blakiston Falls with the kids (Waterton)

  Columbia River (Kinbasket Lake), 63km drive on logging road besides this river The approach wasn't easy or short, we drove 30min west from Golden, then up north on a logging road with the Columbia River right beside us for 63km exact, at that point we were suppose to see a trail heat sign (which in the first pass me missed it) and after 30 minutes of back and forth we found it. Backcountry life, The Pulpit Hwy 93 north of Lake Louise

Almost at the top  I don't think it could get any better than this. Going up The Pulpit last week with Stephan, Andy, Nic and Sylvain was kind of the best day out there. The approach is between the trees, flat kind of trail all the way to Hector Lake. Crossing the Lake was nice and smooth. Then is the up !! climbing for a while until you hit the top of the bump, where you can watch really close the Pulpit. We left Calgary early at around 6:30 am, roads were nasty with all the snow from the night before (which was good, because there was a lot of snow at top !!). Left view south of the Pulpit You this majestic view as you are approaching the top, very tempting to get out there and run in fresh powder, but as I learnt you have to be conscious and avoid temptation..  First run down ! Hamilton Lake to Emerald Basin, Yoho (around Top Hat Peak)

Wow what a great tour around Top Hat. This is an Up and Down traverse, that is it, so get the legs ready because we are going up 1,300mts from the parking lot before we take out the skins. Once at the top you have two options depending of the visibility, skier's left of Top Hat and down or Skier's right of Top Hat but there is a rock band on the right that have to watch out.  Once you ski down this phenomenal terrain then is all single track by the creek all the way down to the Emerald Lake.   Emerald Lake Parking Lot
