Cathedral Mountain, Ski trip #9 of 2022 season

Mega super duper adventure on Saturday. Second time going up Cathedral Mountain and skiing all the way to the car. Another beautiful day to be in the mountains, hot in the way up and cold in the rappel section with strong winds to keep things excited //

From the top the ski down is super sketchy and actually terrifying ! the smallest mistake and there will be body recovery happening..

A small avalanche was coming down as we are passing the hot traverse, nothing serious, but due to the proximity was a bit scary.

Going up to the summit the snow was good, not a lot volume, but it wasn't icy at all. Few spots were a bit icy but minimum. The rappel section was nicer than the previous time, with good snow we were able to ski down to the rock where we could set up the ackers, Amit and Andy rappel down with the skis on, I took mine off and put them in the backpack.

From there the ski was phenomenal, boot deep powder with the conditions getting better as we went though.
